The Lobby
An air-conditioned lounge amidships — long sofas, a low table, and windows the length of the hull. The cool, shaded heart of the boat when the deck gets too bright.

The Vessel · I
Blue Sea Explorer is a private motor yacht — booked whole, never by the cabin. For seven nights she is yours alone: eight air-conditioned en-suite cabins for up to eighteen guests, an air-conditioned lobby, a shaded aft deck where every supper is laid, and a tender standing by for the reef. The week is all-inclusive — every meal aboard, the snorkelling, the fishing, and the water toys are held in the one price (taxes too). She cruises the channels and sandbanks of the central Malé area and Vaavu atoll, and will range further south on request. What she is not is a dive boat — this is a charter for the surface and the line, drawn for a party who would rather have the whole vessel than a room on someone else’s.
A private motor-yacht charter through the reefs off Malé and Vaavu — snorkelling, fishing and the water by day, the same deck and the same crew all week, held by avé from the first morning to the last.

The Week
A sketched shape of the week — the home water is the central Malé area and Vaavu atoll. Yours will be redrawn for the season, the swell and the company you keep; nothing here is fixed.
Met off the flight at Velana and tendered out to Blue Sea Explorer in the North Malé area. Settle the cabins, meet the crew, and ease into the first evening as she finds her anchorage.
A morning cruise down into Vaavu atoll. The first reefs by snorkel after lunch, and a line over the side as the sun drops.
Vaavu’s channels are the day — drift snorkels on the incoming tide, and the chance of the bigger pelagic life moving through. Supper at anchor.
A bare sandbank for the middle of the week — a laid lunch on the sand, the e-foil and boards out on the flat water, the deck standing offshore.
A serious fishing morning off the reef edge, then an afternoon ashore on an uninhabited island. What’s landed can come back to the galley.
A slow cruise back north, working the reefs and channels of the central Malé area — more snorkelling, a last troll for the line, sundowners on the deck.
One more session at the week’s favourite reef and a long afternoon on the water, closed by a farewell dinner laid on the aft deck.
A final breakfast aboard, then the tender ashore and the transfer back to Velana in time for the flight home.
On the Water
Blue Sea Explorer is rigged for the surface and the line — snorkelling, fishing and the water toys, with sandbanks and quiet islands between. Diving is the one thing she is not for.
Snorkelling
The home water — the reefs and channels off Vaavu and the central Malé area, read for the day’s tide and drift. The tender drops you on the line; the boat repositions to meet you.
Fishing
Dawn and dusk lines off the reef edge, and a troll across the channels for the bigger fish. What comes aboard can go to the galley for supper.
On the water
An e-foil, a wakeboard and paddleboards live aboard — the flat lagoon mornings are for learning the foil, the glassy evenings for a long paddle.
Ashore
The tender runs you onto a bare sandbank for a swim and a laid lunch, or onto a quiet uninhabited island for the afternoon — the deck waiting offshore.
Aboard
The aft deck is where the week settles — suppers under the awning as the light goes, a still anchorage, and the channel lights for company.
Aboard
Where the seven days are lived — the cool lobby, the shaded deck, the staterooms below, and the water off the stern.
An air-conditioned lounge amidships — long sofas, a low table, and windows the length of the hull. The cool, shaded heart of the boat when the deck gets too bright.
The shaded teak deck where the week is lived — every supper laid here, the table set against the water and the light going down over the anchorage.
Eight air-conditioned en-suite cabins below, made up each day — sleeping up to eighteen, with the boat held for your party alone.
A swim platform off the stern, a tender for the reef and the sandbanks, and the snorkelling, fishing and water toys all kept aboard — the boat is rigged for the surface, not the depths.

The whole vessel for the seven-night week — all eight air-conditioned en-suite cabins and the full crew — with full board (buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner, plus early-morning and post-excursion snacks) and unlimited tea, coffee and water. The snorkelling, the reef and big-game fishing, and the water toys (e-foil, wakeboard, paddleboards) are all aboard, as is the fuel for cruising the central Malé area and Vaavu atoll — and GST and Green Tax are in the figure too. One price, one boat, one bill.
No. Blue Sea Explorer is a charter for the surface — snorkelling, fishing and the water — not a dive boat. If diving matters to your party, tell us and we will compose it differently from the start.
Her home water is the central Malé area and Vaavu atoll — held in the charter. She will range further south, as far as Thaa atoll, if you would like a wider week; the only extra is the additional fuel, quoted ahead.
She holds up to eighteen guests across eight air-conditioned en-suite cabins, and is booked whole for one party — a family or a group of friends taking the boat to themselves. Tell us the size of your group and we will hold the right cabin configuration.
The charter covers the whole boat for the seven-night week — all meals and the on-water activities above, with GST and Green Tax included. It does not cover diving, alcoholic or soft drinks, your flights and arrival into Malé, crew gratuities (at your discretion), or the fuel surcharge for travel beyond Vaavu. The full figure is quoted on request.
