Beach House with Private Pool
One bedroom · 309 sqmSand-step, an oval bedroom and a separate living room — a wide deck, a private infinity pool, the house reef a few paces off.
The Retreat
The Nautilus is the country's quietest grand-luxe address — twenty-six private houses and residences set across a single small island inside the Baa Atoll biosphere. The register is "free will": no fixed mealtimes, no set itineraries, no menu to choose from. Each house holds a private infinity pool, a dedicated House Master (full butler service), and the run of the island's kitchens at any hour. Days are drawn around what the guest wants, not what the schedule allows.
For the held register — a small island of houses and residences, where the day is drawn by the guest, not the resort.
Arrival

The Residences
The full register at The Nautilus Maldives — drawn from the simplest beach house to the held estate. Pull the rail to read each in turn.
Sand-step, an oval bedroom and a separate living room — a wide deck, a private infinity pool, the house reef a few paces off.
Stilted over the lagoon — an oval bedroom, a glass-floor panel in the living room, a wide sundeck with stairs into the sea.
A larger residence poised over the lagoon — separate living and dining, a powder room and wet bar, an expansive deck with the pool drawn off the sea.
Dining Experiences
From the signature room held by a single chef to the long-lunch beach kitchen — the dining experiences at The Nautilus Maldives are drawn for the hour of the day, not the page of the menu.
The signature room — European and Mediterranean, drawn around local seafood and tropical produce. An upper-deck lounge for the pre-dinner hour.
An al-fresco grill on the sand — Latin America to North Asia, Japanese, Mexican, Peruvian, the open fire at the centre.
A beachfront all-day room — global flavours in a relaxed beach-house ambience.
The poolside lounge — loungers, cabanas, complimentary gourmet canapés through the day.
Meal Plans
The board bases we hold at The Nautilus Maldives. Each is arranged with the retreat directly — tell your correspondent which suits, or leave the table to us.

Wellbeing
Three over-water pavilions working with Maison Caulières and Omorovicza — and, like everything here, on your hour rather than a schedule. The treatment begins when you arrive, whenever that is.
Experiences
What the retreat actually does well beyond the villa line — with its own schedules and price lists where it publishes them. Every experience is arranged through your correspondent.
The manta and whale-shark aggregation of the Baa biosphere sits minutes away — held trips through the southwest monsoon, timed by the house's own watchers.
No menus, no set mealtimes, no fixed itineraries — the day is drawn by the guest. The rarest luxury in the country is the absence of a schedule.
Every house holds a dedicated House Master — full butler service, packing and unpacking included, the week's shape held in one pair of hands.
The Shape of a Day
A sketched register of one day at The Nautilus Maldives — the hours we tend to compose around. Yours will be drawn for the company you keep.
There are no mealtimes. The House Master has already noticed you're up.
In season, the bay; out of it, the biosphere's reefs — the boat leaves when you do.
Three pavilions over the water — book none of it in advance, all of it on the day.
No menu arrives; a conversation does. Dinner is composed, not chosen.
Occasions
Twenty-six houses mean the island can be held entire — but unusually, it doesn't need to be. An anniversary, a vow, a significant birthday: the free-will register means the occasion takes the island's shape rather than the other way around.
Bespoke Insights
The particulars a brochure would miss — the small notes we keep on this retreat, drawn from the journeys we have composed here.
The "free will" register at the Nautilus is real: there are no menus, no set mealtimes, and no fixed itineraries — dining is anywhere, anytime.
Every house holds a dedicated House Master — full butler service, including packing and unpacking on arrival and departure.
The island sits inside the Baa biosphere, minutes from Hanifaru Bay — the manta and whale-shark hub through the southwest monsoon.
Whole-island buyouts are offered, but unusually for this tier, are not required — the register holds privately even at full occupancy.
